Shifting accents, eras, and personalities in moments, and somehow making it look effortless, Beckwith navigates a broad expanse of emotional terrain, using her wide, expressive eyes to land a joke, or convey disdain, love, desperation, wonder, or pain. "'Katherine' is a wonderfully rewarding play about five fascinating women with an unparalleled zest for life, and for that they are extremely lovable.​The story of Carney’s play is richly told. It’s intelligent and creative, the audience often required to piece together facts that are occasionally held back only to be disclosed at a later time. Director David Wolber never allows Beckwith to become stagnant, constantly moving her about the stage, bare except for the occasional place for the actor to sit. The show should not be missed.
