Gina and David’s budding relationship is tested by the advent of a groundbreaking medical procedure that extends lives indefinitely, granting immortality to a chosen few. ECLIPSED: THE SUN, THE MOON AND GLADYS ATKINSON SWEET by D.L. Patrick - World Premiere
Prayer, hope, and Clarence Darrow. Was it enough?

On the night of September 9, 1925, Gladys Atkinson Sweet was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, along with her husband, Dr. Ossian Sweet, his two brothers, and seven other African Americans following the attack on her home. They were well-educated, well-respected, talented people who would have been assets to any community. Although much has been written about Dr. Sweet and the two Sweet trials, litigated by Clarence Darrow, this play imagines the perspective of Gladys Sweet and the women who populated her life. It is about what women do, and have always done, in the shadows.

Musical score by Michael Riccinto - World Premiere
I was a young man when I fell into the dream…
In a magical reality, inside a labyrinth, the famed Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges gives a lecture. At first, it seems to be about anatomy, but that notion quickly gives way as he navigates multiple timelines and universes, in search of the loves of his life. Inspired by Borges’ short stories, and featuring his poetry set to music, this dreamlike play takes us into the fantastical world of one of literature’s most outrageous imaginations.
